After the Christmas holidays of 2010, feeling homesick we decided to open up a restaurant to celebrate the traditional and tasteful food made during that time of the year. One year later we came up with the idea of opening a little place where we can offer all of the people of Playa del Carmen the wonderful cuisine of Venezuela.
Our wonderful chef, Vilma, is our biggest inspiration in the kitchen at Kaxapa Factory. Her great culinary touch, along with the hospitality of our hosts, will make you feel like you are visiting a relative’s home.

Every single one of our dishes is beautifully prepared with that homemade touch. We take care of every little detail and we truly believe that the selection of the quality in all of our ingredients is essential to make you enjoy every dish in our menu.
From our traditional specialty dishes like the "pabellón criollo" (Venezuelan national dish) to our delicious desserts and our flavored waters, we know that good taste depends on the love you put in every single dish.

It is a very popular drink all around Venezuela, made from the mix of rice and milk, it is mostly served with sweetened condensed milk and a touch of cinnamon. It can be a very dense drink that you have to take with a lot of ice.
